अभी कुछ देर पहले तक मेरी जिंदगी वैसी ही थी जैसे बीते छ: सालों से हुआ करती थी। अलार्म बजते ही आधी-नींद में स्प्रिंग की तरह उचक के खड़े हो जाना। बिखरी फाईल्स को बिस्तर से समेटना। लैपी चार्जिंग से निकालकर, मोबाईल चार्जिंग पर डालना। इस बीच दो मिनट चुराकर ट्वीटर चेक कर लेना। मूड अच्छा हुआ तो डीपी बदल दी और अगर मूड खराब हुआ तो 140 शब्दों में जरा आउट-रेजिया देना। और सबसे जरूरी काम, घर से निकलते वक्त मेरे दोस्त, निखिल के उन दो-चार रोमांटिक मैसेजेस पर वो किस्सी वाली स्माईली चिपकाते हुए गाड़ी का स्टीयरिंग घुमाना और ये पहुँच गई मैं सीधे ऑफिस।

लेकिन आज लग रहा था जैसे मेरे हंसते-खेलते रूटीन का स्टीयरिंग, उछलकर किसी और के हाथ में चला गया हो

INTRO

Have you ever skipped your heartbeat while holding a book? I got that feeling, once I received this beauty Amir Khurau: The Man in Riddles by Ankit Chadha. Literally I was holding it like a baby and my eyes stuck on its cover, inner pages led me into a new world, world of colourful imagination, secret lanes, magical pauses, and the utter desire to solve those riddles without turning the page.  

Structure

Basically Ankit Chadha compiled the mesmerizing verses of Amir Khusrau, actually twenty riddles with bit of cultural description of his era, each page accompanied with beautiful illustration by Urmimala Nag. Though I am not much aware of Khusrau Yet, I easily connected with this book; few riddles were reminiscent of my childhood.

Core

Amir Khusrau, was an eminent poet of medieval India, known as Tuti-yi-Hind (Parrot of India), he contributed to Indian classical music, Sufism, Qawwali, Persian Literature. Many lyricist still using his verses to enhance the beauty of current songs by giving them sufiyana touch like.. 

Here Ankit Chadha spotlighted Amir Khusrau as—when reading khusrau’s poetry, it is evident that the poet intends to convey two meanings one that has to do with everyday world while the other delves into other worldly.

Also, Ankit didn’t forget to reveal the soulful relation between Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, the great sufi saint and Khusrau. While reading this book I could sense that Khusrau was a major cultural icon and as far as I know, he was the founder of Ganga-Jamani Tahzeeb, His prolific image stands him among the world cultural History.  

Ankit rejuvenated the soulful work of khusrau in such a profound manner. The best thing about Ankit’s book, You don’t need to be literature-friendly, even a kid will learn and enjoy it. I read this breathtaking beauty within an hour, avoiding everything.

All in all, Amir Khusrau: The Man in Riddles is gorgeously honest. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this book. Exquisite!

With these strong words of Louisa May Alcott, I wish I could capable enough to review this book presented by Prachi Garg. Because It can be a life changing book for aspiring entrepreneurs.  

In the current scenario when everyone running towards catching the moon, there are few souls who challenged the whole sky, sky—full of stars. It may sound little bit poetic, but what a book, Man!

Prachi Garg, an author of this book, explored twenty lives; succeed to change the definition of success. Only one thing which stands these twenty women out of the crowd, they all have strong vision and enough passion to follow their dreams, NO MATTER WHAT. They carve their own niche through ideas which changed millions of lives radically. 

When we watch television or read magazines, we happen to stop while catching a glance of successful woman. Although Newspapers provide information about their venture but their life journey still remains hidden.

Prachi Garg did a tremendous job in that field; she threw light into their inner selves and extracted real success history. What unique trait they carried, how they accomplished their dreams. What obstacles they faced, how much time they devoted, and the thought behind every foundation.

Literally few stories just stirred my soul, if I read about them into some magazine it would have been another business article, but I appreciate the effort of an author, she maintains the balance of information and emotional rollercoaster life of respective entrepreneur.

Author says in the lives of most people, the comforts of the predictable, the stable or the normal take precedence over anything that may sound remotely risky, but there are few daring souls who believe in challenging the norms, in stepping away from conventions and making a routine of the extraordinary way of life.

I would not be fair to share synopsis of every story but I love to share  these inspiring pieces from the book.

किताब समीक्षा: ठीक तुम्हारे पीछे – मानव कौल

मैंने अभिनेताओं गायकों, गीतकारों पर लिखी हुई कई किताबें पढ़ी हैं। जिनमें उनके निज़ी जीवन से लेकर बॉलीवुड जगत में उनके संघर्ष और उपलब्धियों का जिक्र होता है। लेकिन किसी अभिनेता का खुद कहानी लिखना, ना केवल शौक की तरह बल्कि उन कहानियों को पूर्ण किताब की शक्ल देकर पाठकों के हाथों में सौंप देना, इतना आसान कहाँ होता है? अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में नसरुद्दीन साहब ने यह ईमानदार कोशिश की है उनकी आत्मकथा “एण्ड दैन वन डे” 2015 में सुर्खियों में थी। लेकिन हिन्दी की जेब अधिकतर खाली ही रही।

हिन्दी फिल्म जगत के जाने माने अभिनेता मानव कौल ने अपनी पहली किताब “ठीक तुम्हारे पीछे” के जरिये वही खाली जगह भरने का प्रंशनीय प्रयास किया है। बॉलीवुड में अपने सुगढ़ अभिनय के लिए चर्चित मानव कौल को आप शायद ‘काई पो छे’ के बिट्टू मामा या ‘वजीर’ के मंत्री जी के नाम से पहचान लें, हिन्दी फिल्म जगत में आप रुचि रखते हैं तो शायद आपने भारत पाक सैनिकों पर बनी 1971 भी देखी हो। अगर आप थियेटर जगत में रूचि रखते हैं तो मुम्किन है आपने इनके कई बहुचर्चित नाटकों से परिचित हों। 

हाल ही में हिन्दी युग्म द्वारा प्रकाशित इनकी किताब ठीक तुम्हारे पीछे कुल बारह कहानियों का संग्रह है। कहानी में पिरोया हुआ हर पात्र अलहदा, एक उम्मीद की डोर थामे अपने अंतर्मन ने जूझता हुआ मिलता है।  

मानव कहते हैं  “मुझे कोरे पन्ने बहुत आकर्षित करते हैं। मैं कुछ देर कोरे पन्नों के सामने बैठता हूँ तो एक तरह का संवाद शूरू हो जाता है। यह बिल्कुल वैसा ही है जैसे देर रात चाय बनाने की आदत में मैं हमेशा दो कप चाय बनाता हूँ एक प्याली चाय जो अकेलापन देती है वह मैं पंसद नहीं करता। दो प्याली चाय का अकेलापन असल में अकेलेपन के महोत्सव मनाने जैसा है”  बात बहुत सादे शब्दों में कही गयी है लेकिन यकीन हो जाता हैं कि मानव कौल का लेखन परिपक्व है। लिखना कभी भी कठिन शब्दों का चुनाव भर करना नहीं होता उसके लिए तो शब्दकोश मौजूद है। लेखन खुद से चलकर कहानी के किरदार की आत्मा तक पहुँचना है। उस किरदार से एक अंदरूनी रिश्ता कायम करने जैसा है, जो इस किताब में बखूबी दिखता है। मानव कौल की कहानियाँ हमें उसी रूहानी सफर पर ले जाती हैं। उनका लिखा हुआ हम क़रीब से महसूस करते हैं। उनके पात्रों की उलझनों और उनकी खुशियों के बीच सफ़र करते हैं। कहानियाँ कई उम्र का सफर तय करती हैं। ये चुनाव करना मेरे लिए बहुत ही कठिन है की किस कहानी का कौन सा पात्र श्रेष्ठ है। “अभी-अभी से कभी-का तक” कहानी में मानव कौल कहते हैं “दर्शक बने रहना आसान नही है खासकर जब आपके पास खुद करने के लिए कुछ भी ना हो और आपके अगल बगल इतने बेहतरीन अभिनय कर रहे हो” एक ऐसा व्यक्ति जो हॉस्पिटल-बैड पर रात दिन अपने आने वाले कल को संशय से देखता है। उसे यकीन है कि वो उस किनारे नहीं लगेगा जहाँ ज़िंदगी सांसे छोड़ देती है, उबर जाएगा वो इस बीमारी से फिर भी रोज़ खुद को उसी ओर सरकता पाता है जो उसे बस एक याद बना देगा। “गुणा भाग” कहानी में लेखक कितना सधा हुआ लिखते हैं कि “इन तीन सालो में मैंने तुम्हें जितना जिया है और जितना तुमने मुझे याद किया है हम वो सब एक दूसरे को वापस दे देंगे और फिर हमारे सबंध में है के सारे निशान मिट जाएँगे” एक रिश्ते में होकर भी ना होना, वजह पता होते हुए भी ढूंढते रहना कि क्या पता कोई ऐसा सिरा मिल जाए जो रिश्ते को “है” से “था” ना होने दे”

 इनके अलावा “मुमताज़ भाई पंतग वाले” और “माँ” इन दो कहानियों को पढ़ना किसी अलसायी सी दोपहर में नीम की ठंडी छाँव में सुस्ताने जैसा है या ट्रेन के किसी स्टेशन पर रुकने पर बेचैन आँखो से कुल्हड़ वाली चाय का इंतजार करने जैसा। तपते रेगिस्तान में दो घूँट जिंदगी की तरह मिलने जैसा भाव लिए मानव कौल का यह कहानी-संग्रह हिन्दी साहित्य जगत के पाठकों के लिए सोच के नए द्वार खोलता है, पढ़ने के बाद भी देर तक हमारे अंदर इन कहानियों की गूँज रह जाती है। अपनी बुकशेल्फ में इसे ज़रूर जगह दीजिएगा।

ये जाते हुए दिसम्बर की एक सर्द रात थी। आसमान के ज़िस्म पर...बिछे अनगिनत तारों को मानो ठिठुरन से बचाने के लिए...सफेद कोहरे ने अपने अंदर समेट लिया था...। रात के बारह बज चुके थे....भले मुम्बई की सड़को पर अक्सर शोर रहता था...लेकिन राह चलते लोगों की आँखों में मुझे ना जाने क्यूँ हमेशा एक कशमकश...एक खामोशी ही दिखती। 

मैं, माया...अपनी बिल्डिंग के बाहरवे माले पर बने...इस बारह बाय दस के कमरे में...बत्तीस मोमबत्तियों की झिलमिलाती रोशनी के बीच घिरी...कभी लौ की तपिश...तो कभी एक कंपक़ंपी महसूस कर रही थी। एक बार फिर मैंने मोमबत्तियों को गिनना शुरु किया...इस बार इक गहरी सांस के साथ...एक दो तीन....ह्म्म पूरी पैंतिस ही थी।

पिछले सात सालों से ऐसे ही तो मनाती आ रही थी...मैं अपना जन्मदिन सबसे दूर..एकदम तन्हा...साथ के लिए होती भी थी...तो बस यही झिलमिलाती...मोमबतियाँ और कुछ बदलता था तो...इनकी साल दर साल बड़ती संख्या और इसके साथ....मेरी पल-पल पिघलती उम्र।

आज फिर मेरी रात चाँद की पहरेदारी करते गुज़र गयी थी जैसे सिया के जाने के बाद अक्सर, मेरी रातें गुज़रा करती थीं...दम तोड़ती हुई, खामोशियों को थोड़ा और खामोश करती हुयीं।

मैंने खिड़की से बाहर नज़र डाली...सूरज आसमान पर गुलाबी रंग से तस्वीर खींचने में लगा था। लेकिन मेरी ज़िदंगी की तस्वीर के मानो हर रंग फीके पड़ गये थे। मेरी नज़र कमरे की दीवार पर टंगे एक कोलॉज़ पर ठहर गयी...जिसमें मैंने अपने अतीत के जीते-जागते लम्हे सहेज़ रखे थे।

ये तस्वीरें ही तो थी, जो मुझे जीवित होने का अहसास करवाती थीं। कभी मेरे होंठों पर मुस्कान रख जाती तो कभी जबां पर रख देती...एक बर्फ-सा ठिठुरता नाम “सिया”।

सिया के साथ शादी का एक साल पूरा करने के बावजूद, प्रखर यानि मैंने जब उसकी गोद भराई पर उसके काधें पर अपनी हथेली टिकाई तो वो कुछ सकुचा गई थी, मेरी ओर देखकर मुस्कुराते हुए उसकी नज़रें झुक गयी। वो खूबसूरत पल कैमरे में कैद हो चुका था, वो पल उतना ही जीवित था....उतना ही सच्चा, जितनी सिया की सुरीली आवाज, उसका वो संगीत...उसकी वो धीमी-धीमी गुनगुनाती सांसे..।
